Loma Colorado

Over the years MX Track Builders has pushed a lot of dirt in the high desert. Familiar with the soil composition and climate, we knew going into this project that water was going to be key. Luckily for us, our working site ran adjacent to an irrigation ditch that we were permitted to pump from. We processed a few hundred thousand gallons of water over the course of a week for compaction and dust suppression. Our plot was five acres, crowned in the center and in some areas we were working with 25 percent slopes. The lay of the land made it easy for us to generate dirt for track features while maintaining positive drainage away from the track. From the creative process to the final transformation this was a fun build for us, and one that we are proud of!
